On Tuesday, February 20th the Philadelphia Marathon changed the dates of it's race with no clear explanation via it's facebook page.
Those responsible for the marathon did not offer an apology or an explanation of why the date changes had taken place. The 2013 event will be the 20th anniversary of the Philadelphia Marathon, but many people are confused and disappointed that the dates were changed, and with such little explanation.
The race dates were changed to November 15th though November 17th. The Philadelphia Marathon has routinely been held on the weekend before Thanksgiving, November 22nd through the 24th...not this year.
