Dr. Flannery was born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Scranton in Scranton, Pa. and his medical degree from Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland Ohio. He then completed his surgical training at the Yale Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in New Haven CT.
Dr. Flannery specializes in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle trauma, and sports medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also currently an active faculty member in several local foot and ankle surgical residency programs. He has been involved in athletics his entire life and played competitive ice hockey in high school and college. In his free time, Dr. Flannery enjoys his life in and around Philadelphia taking any opportunity to pursue the city's impressive arts and culinary scene.
