The Philadelphia Flyers are struggling right now with a serious list of injuries throughout both their offensive and defensive line-ups. One of the most talked about injuries in the NHL is Flyers' winger, Scott Hartnell. Hartnell sustained a broken foot after it was hit by a goal-shot puck from teammate Kimmo Timonen. The confirmed broken foot is reported to keep Scotty Hartnell out of any Flyer's games for up to 4-6 weeks.
The injuries don't end with Scott Hartnell. There are at least five other Flyers players who will sit for a number of important games in the up coming weeks.
Currently injured Flyers players as of January 25th:
- Danny Briere
- Scott Hartnell
- Andrej Meszaros
- Zac Rinaldo
- Erik Gustafsson
- Marc-Andre Bourdon
The good news for Flyers fans is that there are other teams in the leagues struggling with injuries. The Washington Capitals, and last year's Stanley Cup champions, the LA Kings are both facing some serious injuries as the NHL starts it's delayed season.
