Posted on Feb 05, 2013

French free-solo climber, Alain Robert, performed his latest urban climb on Tuesday, February 5th in Havana Cuba. The World-famous building climber has climbed countless man-made structures throughout the world giving him the name, the French "Spiderman." Today his goal was the famous Havana Libre Hotel in downtown Havana, Cuba. With a crowd of several hundred people watching the stunt, Robert ascended to the 27th floor of the beach front hotel in just about a 30 minutes. The largest concern with this climb was no so much the height, but rather the structural stability of the aged building.

Although many of his climbs have been performed without permission, for the Havana stunt, Robert had waited several days to receive permission from the Cuban government.
