Building-Sized Tetris in Philly

Posted on Apr 06, 2014

This past Saturday evening many stopped by the Philadelphia Art Museum to witness and play one of the largest games of Tetris, ever. Controlled from a distance, the LED lights of the 29-storey Cira Centre in Philadelphia were converted into a giant game of Tetris. The game was to promote Philly Tech Week as a plug to inspire the possibilities of technology. Also celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the classic videogame Tetris, this was the second year that the Cira Centre’s LED lights were used for game play; last year the Philly Tech Week group played the foundational videogame “Pong.”
