A true testament to the human capability, Kilian Jornet has devised a new life goal for the next few years. Who is Kilian Jornet? In the United States, he is not well known compared to athletes like Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter, or Tiger Woods. Compared to these U.S. athletes, Kilian Jornet has humbly surpassed their physical capabilities with a less press and even less earned money.

This world famous trail running, duathlete, high mountain skier, climber, alpinist has a new set of goals to overshadow his countless number of gold, silver, and bronze awards in all of his respective mountain sports.

The project is called “Summits of my Life” whih will take the Spanish super-athlete to the planet's most famous, treacherous mountains. The list includes:

  • Mont Blanc, France (4.810m)

  • The Matterhorn, Italy (4.478m)

  • Mt. Elbrus, Russia (5.642m)

  • Mt. McKinley, USA (6.196m)

  • Aconcagua (6.959m)

  • Mt. Everest (8.848m)

On each of these mountain summits, Jornet has various different personal goals and world records that he hopes to break. Some of the challenges that he has set for himself include two complete running traverses of France's famous Mont Blanc along with breaking the world record ascents to the summits of each mountain. Kilian Jornet wants to be the fastest mountaineer to ascend some of the world's most famous mountains.

“It's not about being the fastest, the strongest, or the biggest. It's about being ourselves. We are not just runners, mountaineers, or skiers, or even athletes; we are people. We don't know if we'll find it, but we're going in search of happiness. What is it we're looking for? To be alive?” -Kilian Jornet
