Five-year-old Miles Scott has battled with leukemia for most of his young life. For his bravery and courage through his battle against cancer, the City of San Francisco and Make-a-Wish Foundation have transformed the city into a modern day Gotham City. With over 1000 volunteers and even more onlookers, Miles was on a mission to help fight crime at various locations throughout San Francisco alongside Batman himself. With the internet and local crowds referring to the little sup hero as “Batkid,” the young survivor has been touring the city in the bat-mobile responding to mock incidents all day.
A truly touching event celebrating the bravery and perseverance of a young leukemia victim. Miles’s condition is now in remission, and many people hope to see him back to full health as he grows up.
